The Return of Hometown Throwdown!
For those of you that haven’t heard, Hometown Throwdown is returning!
August 11th (that’s a Saturday) @ 1:00, we will be throwing down, SNES style, at Kick Butt Coffee.
Here’s the skinny:
When: Saturday, August 11th, 1:00-4:30pm
Where: Kick Butt Coffee Music and Booze, 5775 Airport Blvd Austin, TX
What: Old School Super Nintendo Games, Skullgirls, and possibly some additional Wii action.
Why: Because our friends at Kickbutt Coffee like us! (Well, that and they have beer, food, and $3 Red Snappers all day Saturday)
Hope to see you there, and stay tuned for more announcements!

The nitty gritty:
- All matches will be played on PS3

Hope to see you there!
You like us… you really, really like us!
It is our tremendous honor to announce that our good friends at Mister Tramps have asked us to bring Hometown Throwdown back to their doors on a regular basis.
Starting on April the 9th, Hometown Throwdown will be happening every 2nd and 4th Monday, at 7:30 PM. That means more tournaments, more games, and perhaps most importantly, more beer! We’ll be announcing the schedule for 4/9 tomorrow, so stay tuned!
Announcing… Hometown Throwdown: Tournament Edition!
That’s right, this upcoming Monday (the 12th) at 7PM, we’ll be giving away Pixels T-Shirts (that’s the design there on the right) to winners of four different tournaments: Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend, and Street Fighter X Tekken. There is no entrance fee.

- All brackets will be single elimination, best 2 out of 3 matches (with best 2 out of 3 rounds, where applicable).
- All matches will be played with 99 second time limits.
- Pausing (accidental or intentional) immediately forfeits the round.
- Arcade sticks will be provided, but if you want to be sure to get one, we would suggest you bring your own.
